We know too little about flowers and we all have our own interpretation about love.

Flowers’ visual, olfactory, and tactile qualities has always been praised and loved by people. Numerous modern and contemporary artists have been appealed by the beauty of flowers and they created prestigious and magnificent masterpieces base on flora subjects. Oscar-Claude Monet is fascinated by the beauty of water lily, chasing the flora’s various postures between light and shadow; Vincent van Gogh spent years painting sunflowers without stop his steps. Georgia Totto O'Keeffe’s many works implicitly imply the female biological features into flora petals.

In the spectrum of Taiwanese contemporary art field, there are also many artists who adore the elegance of flower. Double Square Gallery is specially presenting the editorial “Intertwined Narratives of Flowers and Love”, which will introduce the related artists and their artworks, see how they have turned flora as their inspiration.
