About Mia Liu (劉文瑄)
Mia Liu was born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1980. She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute and attended the graduate program at Hunter College, City University of New York. Currently, she lives and works in Taipei.
Mia Liu received the Kaohsiung Award Grand Prize in 2009 and participated in the Asian Art Biennale the same year. Her works have been exhibited in numerous museums and art spaces, including the White Rabbit Gallery in Sydney, the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art in Budapest, CODA Museum in the Netherlands, the Esplanade in Singapore, and the OCI Museum of Art in Korea. She was shortlisted for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in Hong Kong, participated in the Glenfiddich Artists in Residence program in Scotland, and was selected by the Ministry of Culture to attend the Cité internationale des arts residency program in France. Her works are held in collections across Europe, America, and Asia, including those of Dr. Uli Sigg in Switzerland, the Hermès collection, the Shanghai Library East Building, and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts.
