Lin Chuan-Chu

Lin Chuan-Chu (b.1963) was born in Wanli, New Taipei City. In 1990, He graduated in B.F.A. from Chinese Cultural University in Taipei as well as him receiving his M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from the Goddard College in Vermont, U.S.A in 2003. Besides, He was invited to teach at School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2000. In the duration of his twenty-year artist career, he frequently attends group exhibitions in Taiwan, China and the US. Until 2008, he moved back to his hometown. Immersed in the nature, he created his well-known work “Landscape Journal” series. As a literato and as a farmer, Lin subtly enjoys in the details of life and the sound of the nature. He begins from his sense of body. Through profound experiencing, he presents his works in various media, from painting, land art projects, performance, animation to writing. The daily perception and reflection have led him to the dedication to transparent his life and his art. In other words, he aims to express his care in the flow of nature through his works of art.
