Tung Hsin-Ru holds a BFA in Ink Painting from Taipei National University of the Arts and an MFA from Pratt Institute, New York. After returning to Taiwan, she has taught as an adjunct associate professor of fine arts at Huafan University and National Taiwan Normal University. Her works have been exhibited at and included in collections of various major public art institutions, including National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts and Taipei Fine Arts Museum, as well as in various private and corporate collections. After she settled down in Taiwan, she has focused on flora and fauna as well as microcosmic details of natural environments to create her work, establishing an individualistic creative style informed by her personal awareness of life. Since then, she has also continuously and multifacetedly explored her inner space to express her perceptions of and feelings towards nature before manifesting them on her profound canvas.
